5 Tips for a Great Fashion Fit

Ladies, have you ever been in a department store dressing room and talked yourself into buying an outfit that looked great – on someone else?
Face it. If it doesn’t fit right in the dressing room, it won’t fit well or look good when you wear it out in public. Here are five quick and easy tips to remember when buying clothes that look good and fit well on your body type.
1 – Stick to a Color Theme
Wear the same color from head to toe. This will create the illusion of a long lean line. Neutral colors work best for this effect: black, brown, camel or cream. (Note: add a splash of color with a jacket or wrap)
2 – Wear Your Correct Size
Dress in the size you are – not the size you want to be. In spite of what you might believe, wearing clothes that are too tight or too big will make you look LARGER.
3 – Be Aware of Flattering Fabrics
You want to wear fabrics that skim your curves instead of cling to them. Fabrics should drape your body and make you look good, not lumpy.
4 – Best Pants to Wear
The most flattering pants to wear for all body types have a flat front, fall just below the navel (not hip huggers), and flare slightly at the bottom.
5 – Best Skirt to Wear
The most flattering skirts to wear for all body types gets a perfect grade of “A”. The A-line skirt looks good on everybody and is great for hiding figure flaws. by: Donna Monday

Finding the dresses and fashion you need!

When you look in your closet do you see dresses that you like or are there many, many old, out of style dresses that you wouldn’t dare be seen in? Fashions do change over time and naturally the cut and style of modern dresses is very different from even 20-30 years ago. Why? Fashions change, tastes change and of course people simply get bored of wearing the same old dresses.
The 1970s and 80s saw the beginning of more divergent trends in fashion.
This was the result of the increasing popularity of ready-to-wear collections by major designers, which made fashionable label-conscious dressing possible for the middle class.
You’ll find that every store has dozens of trendy labels that portray the image style and class. Today most people simply buy their dresses of the shelf, no need to have each individual item of clothing hand made.
When you’re looking for the right dress to wear, don’t worry too much about it being the perfect one. Dresses come in all styles, shapes, colors and materials.
Try this approach: choose a dress style that you feel comfortable and confident in, accessorize it with a few tasteful choices (such as a nice purse) and enjoy your evening out.
We’ve searched the web and found some very interesting selections for you to choose from if your looking for a new dress or dresses.
The power of the internet allows you to thoughtfully choose and select the dresses that would look best on you.
So the next time you look into your wardrobe closet and you’re wondering what to wear, you’ll have a wide range of comfortable, attractive dresses to choose from. by: Mike Yeager

Caring for Your Jewelry

Sterling Silver & 14kt Gold:
Both will tend to tarnish over time.
-Store all precious metal jewelry in a zip lock bag to protect it. This does not stop the discoloration, but will drastically slow the process.
-Use a polishing cloth as needed for cleaning your jewelry.
Jewelry with semi-precious stones and crystals:
-Store all jewelry with semi-precious stones and crystals in a zip lock bag to protect it.
-Check the instructions on your jewelry cleaning solution prior to placing any items with stones in it to be cleaned. Some stones, such as turquoise, and freshwater pearls cannot be placed in most jewelry cleaning solutions.
-Do not wear your jewelry when you are showering or washing dishes.
-Use caution when wearing lotions and perfumes, for they will discolor gems such as turquoise.
Pearls: Special care should be taken with pearls.
They are much more fragile than most gemstones.
-Use caution when using hairspray and perfumes.
Let dry completely before donning your pearls.
-Cleaning pearl jewelry: wipe with a clean dry soft cloth after wearing them. by: Lisa Jay

Celebrity Fashion For The Average Woman

It’s never ending Jessica Simpson totes a Vuitton bag, Courtney Cox is seen in Instyle wearing a beautiful Prada dress, Hilary Swank heads down the runway wearing Calvin Klein.
If that’s not enough Paris Hilton arrives on the scene with Chanel sunglasses while Jennifer Lopez is seen with Fendi.
Whether it’s Versace, Chanel, Vuitton, Gucci, Dior, Calvin Klein, Prada or Fendi, how the heck is the average woman going to be able to stay in style like the stars.
Let’s face it.
Although we dream about owning that beautiful Vuitton handbag or that Prada dress.
For most of us that’s about as far as it goes. Most of these items start in the mid hundreds of dollars and easily climb to a value of over $5000, for just one piece.
For the stars there is no worry about saving to buy those designer items.
For them price is no object as they freely dole it out for what ever their heart desires.
But it doesn’t take a brain surgeon to figure out most of us will never own these items.
So what do we do? Well that’s easy.
You and I buy items that look a lot like the designer items. Many call these knock offs and that they are but please realize there are licensed copies and then there are copies that infringe on copyrights.
We do not condone any company that infringes on copyrights.
We do however encourage you to shop for items that made similar to the items we see the stars wearing.
It’s the only way we an look like a million bucks on our shoe string budgets.
As you flip through this months Vogue or Instyle you are going to see some wonderful fashions that you are just going to have to have for the fall. Don’t worry within the next few weeks similar styles will be arriving at a boutique or Walmart near year.
You can look as good as the stars for a fraction of the cost.
After all are your friends of co-workers going to notice your purse isn’t quite the same shape or fabric. Are they going to notice that the dress has a slightly different cut neck or length.
I think not.
You’ll be close enough for most to think you’ve suddenly got designer taste.
So what are you waiting for? It’s going to be a hot fashion season and you are going to be a fashion goddess this season with some savvy shopping.by: Sher Matsen

Romantic Fall 2005 Fashions

Get swept away in romance this fall. As usual, designers are pulling out all the stops designing for fashion forward women for Fall 2005.
The new look is girlish, innocent romance.
Some are calling this new look "Gypsy Romantic." It is accentuated with the use of lush fabrics and rich colors with patterns inspired by middle eastern culture.
It's made fun and flirty with embellishments of fur, pearls, sequins, and beading.
Velvet coats in gem tone colors such as emerald and ruby with fur trim around the collar. Taffeta dresses in gold with midnight blue velvet accents, elegant woven jacquard jackets with Inca inspired designs, shear sequined viole camisoles.
A rich emerald green sweater with a seed-pearl neckline.
Indian and Thai inspired tunics paired with pencil pants, a Peruvian inspired woven top paired with a short boiled wool jacket worn with a silk georgette skirt. Layering plays a big role in this new look.
Designers have taken this new romantic look into account, right down to your toes. Moroccan-inspired jeweled shoes are being called the "look of the moment." These new jeweled shoes come in a wide array of colors, and fabrics. They feature hand inlaid sequins and seed beading. Some are also further embellished with embroidery. You can find these embellished shoes in flats, wedges, open toes or 4 inch heels.
The best part of these shoes is that they're fancy enough to be worn for dress-up with a gown, or to work, yet they have a bit of playfulness about them and can be worn with casual pants, jeans or capris.
You can have these shoes do all the talking.
Place them center stage by pairing them with a simple black dress and stockings. I guarantee you'll be stopped by strangers who'll think you're Cinderella!
There is also the bag of the season, the hobo.
It seems that the old saying "everything old is new again" pertains to the hobo bag. Hobo bags have never truly gone out of style. This season the designers bring them to you in a variety of colors and fabrics. Metallic and iridescent leather hobos are hot. Woven fabric bags are hot. Suede or corduroy. Some designers have captured an edgier rock and roll look using studs, buckles and whip stitching as accents.
Play with any of these fashions. Buy a new tunic and pair it with your favorite jeans and boots. Anything goes. By adding a few new choice pieces to your existing wardrobe you too can have the "Gypsy Romantic" look. by: Catherine Olivia

Got A Closet Full of Trendy Clothes?

You just bought a pair of Ugg boots to go with your hip hugger jeans and trucker cap. And that’s not all. You scour the fashion magazines for the latest trends, then go running out to fill your closet. Trendy is good, right?
Uh, not so fast. Keeping abreast of the trends in fashion is essential to not looking outdated, but having a closet full of trendy clothes can quickly turn into a big waste of time and money, unless you’re Paris Hilton.
Maybe Paris can afford to buy and discard clothes like candy, but the average woman needs a wardrobe with some staying power.
All the fashion experts agree that you should build your wardrobe around classic pieces like: blazers, tailored suits, neutral bottoms and tops. Classic clothing lasts for years and is very versatile.
On the other hand, trends come and go.
Those Ugg boots you just bought along with the trucker caps are already passé (according to fashionistas in the know). You can either give them away to Good Will or keep wearing them because you really like them.
Trends in fashion are very fickle: some last a long time, while others fizzle in a single season. Because of this, it’s almost impossible to keep up with every single trend. For practical reasons, you should pick a few trendy pieces – that look flattering on you – and add them to your wardrobe.
When the trend is over, discard them or defiantly wear those trendy clothes whenever you like. As long as people aren’t laughing at you in the streets, who cares?
Just remember not to overdo it.
You don’t want to have to replace your entire wardrobe every time a new trend comes out – unless you’re an heiress with money to burn. by: Donna Monday

These designer, top quality purses are a must for the fashion savvy individual.
The Coach Brand is well known for its quality and fashion.

The Coach purse is part of the American culture.

The company prides themselves with designing the perfect bag, one that provides functionality with American fashion. Known also for their top quality leather, Coach purses are not only durable, but make a statement about the individual whose arm they rest on.
The Coach purse can also be found in local department stores of higher quality.
There are many styles and colors available to the consumer these days. With each purse, the consumer receives a unique, one of a kind, work of art.
While purses may seem similar, the method from which they are created produces this uniqueness.
The Coach purse is not for the faint of heart. While they, and their accessories, are fashion statements, they are pricey.
The price reflects their quality, uniqueness, and style. While this price may be too high for the ordinary, the high class, fashionable individual will not be without this fashionable accessory.

Fall Fashion Trend

Fall and winter may have brought out long peacoats and trenches before, but not this year. One of the most sought-after pieces for the upcoming season will be the shrunken jacket, in a variety of styles.
The difference between these new, tinier versions of your traditional autumn and winter favorites is their length; cuts are the same as traditional coats, but they hit slightly above the waist and often tie or button under the chest.
The beauty of these new pieces is that they provide coverage in colder months without sacrificing sexiness or femininity.
The perfect jacket is one of the most important elements of your wardrobe, and with so many shapes and fabrics available this fall, it would be a crime to choose just one. The ever-present denim jacket is back with a new vengeance.
Instead of the washes of last season or bulkiness of years before, this season’s denim jacket is soft, body-conscious and far more feminine than the traditional denim jacket.
Corduroy and leather are back again, cropped and ready to be worn over anything from your favorite dress to distressed jeans.
A new take on an old favorite is safe, but take advantage on the amazing new fabrics and styles the end of the year has to offer. Brocade is big this season and some of the most sought-after new jackets are made of the rich, detailed design. Many of these brocaded, boudoir-style jackets are trimmed in rich velvet or lace piping and can be paired with tweed trousers of you favorite jeans. Many of these new jackets are cut at the hip but some are reaching even higher—cropped just below the chest (H & M).
Made in rich, new fabrics like tweed and velvet, these jackets have mixed a traditionally matronly fabric with a cut and cling that makes it youthful and sexy. Even faux fur and metallic finishes are adorning the newest trend (Allen B. by Allen Schwartz).
Getting short isn’t the only new addition to a cold weather favorite.
Sleeves are getting revamped this season, retro-style. Traditional coat fabrics like houndstooth are being used in a new way. Bell sleeves (think bellbottom sleeves, cut below the elbow) mix cropped length with a traditional fabric and throwback to 70s style (Banana Republic).
You’ll also see a mini version of the military jacket this season; a cropped, girlie take on the long, heavy style, adorned with brass buttons and zippers (Bebe).
The beauty of these new jackets is the versatility they bring to your own style: mix them with denim, dresses, skirts and trousers. Since there isn’t one specific style or fabric that will reign this fall, all styles and sizes can take advantage of a new take on an old favorite. by: Brenna Cleeland

The Engagement Rings of The Celebrities

Whether we like it or not current trends in engagement rings say bigger is so much better. Just have a look at what style engagement rings celebrities are choosing.
And of course what’s good for them is good for the rest of us.
J Lo’s engagement to Ben Flick also started an interesting trend of consumers seeking out pink diamonds.
In no other time in history have pink diamonds been as popular as right after J Lo placed that pink diamond engagement ring on her finger.
Do any of you remember Marilyn Monroe sexily purring “Diamonds Are A Girl’s Best Friend?” Do you have any idea what that did the engagement ring market.
Guys are still paying for that statement.
Sure back in the 50s women knew it wouldn’t be sensible to wear such a large engagement ring but that didn’t mean a gal couldn’t yearn for it.
Today a women wouldn’t feel in the least bit guilty about wearing such a diamond, in fact there are many a women that judge how well they are loved by the size of the rock they are wearing because they “know” what Marilyn knew, that “diamonds are infact a girls best friend.”
When we see the engagement rings worn by stars like Madonna or Catherine Zeta-Jones we take notice and their choices influence the trends that follow.
Celebrities are the leaders in setting fashion and jewelry trends.
Madonna with her Edwardian engagement ring and Catherine Zeta-Jones’s antique styled 10 carat diamond ring has revived the desire to own a beautiful antique engagement ring. In fact it’s one of the hottest engagement ring styles in 20 years.
The size of the diamonds in current styles has also grown from the average one carat to over three carats.
That’s a pretty big rock that’s going to set you back a bit. But girls know they deserve it!
If you aren’t sure whether bigger is better than have a look at the jewels at this years Oscars which are said to total over $50 million dollars in value.
Wonder how many vaults it took to keep those locked up for the night?
With bling being the in thing one has to stop and wonder how the heck normal average working guys plan to pay for these rings.
When their fiancés are asked the standard answer is “doesn’t matter I’m worth it.
That’s great if your guy is earning a 6 figure salary but wait what if he’s not. What if he’s joe average living from pay day to pay day.
What should he do move into the bush and give up his home, perhaps take up walking and sell his car?
Wait guys maybe you can get away with a really good quality cubic zirconia. No guarantees but it might be worth a try. Most of the high end ones can only be identified by a quality jeweler. Then again maybe she won’t care as long as it’s big and impressive.
Okay girls lets be real here.
Dreaming and lusting for that big 5 carat rock is just fine. No problem with dreaming, but when it comes time for your man to buy that ring remember that the ring is not what you are marrying so perhaps it’s time to consider the quality and quantity of the husband to be rather than the ring.
Big diamond or little diamond it doesn’t matter as long as the two of you are blissfully happy. Let the celebrities wear their big diamonds and let them sparkle and shine in the lime light.
It doesn’t matter because you got your man! That’s what counts! by: Sher Matsen

Maybe a Replica Handbag?

Replica handbags are in high demand these days. Whether because of the slow economy or the lack of consumers wishing to spend hard earned money on designer labels, these handbags are available everywhere.
Of course, they may look and feel like the designers they are knocked off from, but the biggest difference will be in the consumer’s wallet.
Maybe leaving off that designer label is worth it?
Many replica handbags are made from the same quality material, the same colors, styles, sizes, and textures.
It would be difficult in most instances to tell the difference without looking for the name brand tag.
Yet, replica handbags are quality handbags in their own right as well. Most are made well and look good. So, consider purchasing one if the funds are low.
Take a look around at our web-site.
We’ve put together some great choices when looking for a quality replica handbag.
Replica handbags are an option to those who wish to have a high quality and fashionable item. They offer, many times, the same styles and quality as the designers do at a fraction of the price. Of course, many designers despise this enterprise, but it is still an option to many people out there.
Replica handbags are widely available and an outstanding value if the consumer doesn't mind the missing name brand tag. by: Mike Yeager

Maternity Clothes Trends

For most women, the most stylish maternity clothes solution is to wear stretch classic jeans and a man’s white oxford shirt. However, the day comes when they face the inevitable: the visit to a maternity clothes store, either for a special occasion outfit, or to browse the plus size maternity clothes section in search for the most flattering solution to their style dilemmas.
So what exactly should an expecting mom look for in maternity clothes, either regular or plus-size ones?
For the first few months most women can get along with the wardrobe they already have. Slightly bigger breasts and increased waistline will make them sexier, not bigger.
But when regular clothes do not work anymore, most women prefer to forget about fashion trends and cocoon themselves into shapeless dresses or high-waist slacks paired with voluptuous sweaters.
First of all, don’t try to hide your condition. It’s chic to be pregnant today, and young Hollywood stars happily get pregnant whenever they want – and remain fashionable and glowing till the delivery.
Today it’s much more flattering to show off your belly than to hide it under layers of clothes. The most current maternity outfits are sleek numbers that let your curvy silhouette show.
Happy Hippie. You will be perfectly stylish in free-flowing ethnic skirts, kaftans and yoke dresses that accommodate a growing belly.
Airy tunics and patterned blousons look equally great with oversize cardigans, perhaps with a wide belt under the belly, or on their own, with a tiny capelet for warmth. This trend also embraces the wide empire-waisted and baby-doll dresses that can be worn over the maternity pants and jeans. Best designers working in this style: Alberta Ferretti, Anna Sui.
Bold Accessories.
Keep the visual details on top. A scarf, a capelet, a bolero jacket in contrasting colors, virtually anything that accentuates the shoulders and bust line are very flattering.
Layering with ponchos and shawls will complete the look, if you go for a loose bohemian style. Halter-type necklines are also very flattering, because in most women their neck and arms look the same even if the rest of the body grows at enormous speed.
Skip Underwires.
When your bust is growing, a thick shelf bra is healthier than a bra with metallic wiring underneath. The sports bra will also do the trick. It will allow more room and support while you grow.
Wear Jeans. Today denim designers offer maternity versions of their most popular models. Citizen of Humanity, Seven For Mankind and Earl Jeans have maternity lines, as well as Juicy, in a variety of denim washes. Wear your maternity jeans low-slung, embroidered and slimming with contrasting washes.
Multifunctional Suits. With modern maternity suits you can easily switch from day to night, as they do double duty.
You can dress them down with a t-shirt for a day or add a silk blouse or tunic for the night.
The most charming maternity suits are made of wool and cotton, with blouses made of charmeuse and chiffon. Menswear plaids and pinstripes also look charming on pregnant women. Choose the size wisely: if you can stick two fingers between the waistline and the fabric of your new skirt or pants, it’s too big and will stay so, even when you grow.
Don’t Bare Too Much Skin. Revealing the growing belly may do the trick for Britney Spears, but not many women can do that with flare.
Pregnancy is the beautiful period of life, but wearing too skimpy clothes will just look tacky.
